초등학교 생활지도 개념 연구 : 비판적 검토 및 향후 과제
최근 학교폭력을 비롯한 학생의 정서행동적 문제에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 생활지도에 대 한 관심도 높아지고 있다. 교사들은 생활지도 수행에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 특히 학급 담임으로 교과지도와 생활지도를 모두 담당하는 초등교사의 생활지도 어려움은 사회적 문제 로 주목받고 있다. 그러나 교사들의 생활지도를 지원하거나 조력하기 위한 생활지도에 관한 연구나 이론적 탐색은 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 이 연구에서는 생활지도와 관련한 국내 문헌을 비판적으로 검토하여 국내 초등학교 현장에서 이루어지는 생활지도에 관한 이론과 연구를 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 먼저, 생활지도의 정의 및 영역, 활동 등에 관한 기존 이 론을 살펴보고, 사회 변화에 따라 변화한 생활지도의 관점과 쟁점에 대해 논의하였다. 또한, 교사가 수행한 생활지도를 다룬 선행연구를 검토하여 현재까지 수행된 연구의 의의와 한계 에 대해 살펴보고 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 마지막으로, 국내 생활지도 개념 정립을 위한 과 제를 제시하고 추후 연구 시 고려할 사항들을 제안하였다.
A Review Study on School Guidance in Elementary School: A Critical Review and Future Tasks
There has been a growing interest in teachers’ guidance as one of the efforts to address students’ emotional and behavioral issues, including instances of school violence. In particular, elementary school teachers who bear dual responsibilities for curriculum delivery and student guidance in their roles as homeroom teachers, often encounter numerous challenges in conducting effective guidance. However, there remains a notable dearth of research and theoretical exploration devoted to the field of guidance performed by teachers. This study endeavors to contribute to the theories and research on guidance by conducting a comprehensive literature review. To accomplish this goal, we examined the definitions, domains, and facets of guidance, while engaging in a nuanced exploration of the perspective and challenges inherent to guidance, which are subject to evolving societal dynamics. Furthermore, we critically reviewed previous research in the field of teachers’ guidance to elucidate both its significance and its limitations. Finally, we deliberate upon the direction for future research and conceptualization of teachers’ guidance in the elementary school context.
